We are pleased to announce that judo will be part of the 2023 Ontario Winter Games. The judo competition will take place on February 2nd &3rd, 2023. The Ontario Games Program started in 1970 in Etobicoke as a showcase for amateur sport. It has now become Ontario's largest multi-sport event, including both team and individual sports.
The Games take place every two years and are awarded through a bidding process. They are supported by the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries in collaboration with host communities.
For many young athletes, the OntarioWinterGames is the high point of their sporting career, while for others the Games are a stepping stone for the Canada Games, Pan Am Games or even the Olympics.
Athletes will be representing the 6 regions of Ontario. The cost per athlete that includes registration, accommodations (one night shared) and food is $90 + HST. The official regional coaches and manager will be selected by regions with a regional executive or Judo Ontario. Click on the buttons below for the technical package and registration portal. The registration will be a two step process first athletes will register and pay on the Judo Ontario Trackie registration site and then in a couple weeks they will be sent a link to register on the OntarioWinterGames site.
The deadline to register is December 10th/22 on Trackie.
